The all-new reflector and tray design moves more heat
out the rear, less in the Chimera. Easier, quicker bulb changes
now with only 2 1/4 turn fasteners on top, and a quick loading drop-in
slot on the bottom. The speed ring is still built in.
The rugged, heavy duty, lightweight 6-Lite V2.0 fills
the Chimera front screen, making it a truly soft source with only one of
its six bulbs switched on. By using GE-FCM-HIR 650-Watt bulbs that
produce the light of a 1K, this work horse on the set can run on three
15-amp home outlets. Substantially more overall venting is only
one of the many improvements!
New recessed reflectors are wider for better light
distribution and vented to keep the bulb seals cooler for longer life.
A finned socket holder design helps radiate heat away
from the socket and bulb seal area.
Same tall switch guards protecting the new double
pole switches. Switching both the hot and neutral legs provides
another layer of safety when changing bulbs. save time (and your
hands!) by just flipping a switch to change light level. No hot
scrims!
Now additional heat venting on top of the fixture,
directly over the source, combined with taller handle brackets, keeps
the heat venting even when the Chimera top flap needs to be closed.
For the lamp operator, a wider wooden handle relocated lower and further
out from the body of the fixture.
Now there is an even better steel lock washer
improving the same great lock off strategy with a large easy to grip
handle and a linear bearing to reduce friction when tightening.
Tuck the Chimera side flaps in the convenient holders
to control light spill.
The slim profile of the 6-Lite means the Chimera will
fit in tight spaces and the lite takes up little shelf space. The
6-Lite V2.0 body is under 4 inches deep (including the bale it's only 8
inches!).
Weighs only 20 pounds! Lightweight materials and
rugged construction make the new 6-Lite V2.0 an operators dream.
Easy to mount... easy to hang... easy to adjust.
Front cover protects the safety screen and bulbs when
in transit.
When space is at a premium the combo junior/baby
mounting pin provides the flexibility to use baby or grip stands.
